Hortensia, my new kind of flower

I have to admit that I have always been a cala girl.

I even got married with a cala bucket. I wasn't very happy when I saw the bucket the day of the wedding,  they had warned me that it wasn't cala season in Norway by the time, but I didn't care. I really wished calas for that special day. So they were kind of green.

When I want to extra decorate a room I usually think about calas. I have always thought they are very elegant and classic. But yesterday I came across some pictures of beautiful dark pink hortensia, and I just loved it.

It actually made me remember about my childhood. The front patio of the house where I grew up was full of blue hortensias, and by that time, I didn't thought they were specially pretty.

So, yesterday, I ran out to the first florist and bought me a nice white pot with a purple hortensia. I was looking for the pink version, but they were not to find.

Here in Norway, flowers are expensive and the variety is nothing to brag about. But well, purple hortensias are beautiful and happy too! I placed them on the kitchen table. I even took a photo with my cell phone (bad quality), but I wanted to share it. Promise that I will see if I can get a good camera for future posts.

Have a nice and relaxing sunday.

Cheers,

To blog or not to blog and the theory of energy

So here I go fresh from the start. This is the first time that I write like this, in public. I am actually kind of nervous. I have been considering the idea for a while now. At first the idea of blogging wasn’t appealing at all. I just meant that every single blogger was either too ego-centered, or very alone to want to talk about his/her own life to the cyberspace.

But all of the sudden, it hit me. What if this idea in fact goes along with the energy theory? I can resume this theory in one of my favorite quotes:

"A human being is a part of a whole, called by us “universe”, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty." A. Einstein

In my opinion this is the very best of Einstein’s physics masterpiece; with this he relates all that ideas of time-space-energy to human beings. We are in fact limited; we don’t even know how much we are interconnected. It is all a big MATRIX of energy and connections that must have more meaning that we are even able to understand.

We are not able to understand many things, but I think we are getting closer. We have now the Internet, this powerful engine that allows us to be “everywhere”. It is fascinating how we are able to connect in so many different levels with persons all over the world.

The reason I decided to blog is because I believe that the interconnection between us is getting stronger. To share my perspective with the world it doesn’t make me ego centered. No, by the very contrary, it makes me more humble and caring. I am able to share with the world my very essence; my point of view. In return I am getting richer reading many others that decided to do the same as me.

I dared to dive into the cold water, without being sure if I am going to be read, but well it doesn’t even matter.. I am throwing myself out there anyway.

If Einstein was alive, I guess he would be very excited about this new interconnection called the bloggers’ world.

Cheers,
