Hortensia, my new kind of flower

I have to admit that I have always been a cala girl.

I even got married with a cala bucket. I wasn't very happy when I saw the bucket the day of the wedding,  they had warned me that it wasn't cala season in Norway by the time, but I didn't care. I really wished calas for that special day. So they were kind of green.

When I want to extra decorate a room I usually think about calas. I have always thought they are very elegant and classic. But yesterday I came across some pictures of beautiful dark pink hortensia, and I just loved it.

It actually made me remember about my childhood. The front patio of the house where I grew up was full of blue hortensias, and by that time, I didn't thought they were specially pretty.

So, yesterday, I ran out to the first florist and bought me a nice white pot with a purple hortensia. I was looking for the pink version, but they were not to find.

Here in Norway, flowers are expensive and the variety is nothing to brag about. But well, purple hortensias are beautiful and happy too! I placed them on the kitchen table. I even took a photo with my cell phone (bad quality), but I wanted to share it. Promise that I will see if I can get a good camera for future posts.

Have a nice and relaxing sunday.

Cheers,

  3. A blogg!! Congratulations!! :)) I love flowers too, and i remember i conversation we had about callas, looong time ago. I just love them too!! My problem with flowers is that i'm not very good at taking care of them. But anyway, we always buy some flowers on the weekends, it has become a habit here at home. We just buy something that doesn't require much care.
Keep on blogging, will follow you ;)
